Aston Martin DB2

The Aston Martin DB2 is a sports car manufactured by the Aston Martin Lagonda Limited in between the years 1950-1953.

The DB2 is also one of three cars that took part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The entire car was built based on its predecessor DB1. The demand for this car is very high in those days where the second, third and fourth series of the DB2 took part in the Le Mans in the year 1950. Also these models stood in the first and second places that took part in the race up to the year 1951.

The car features a 2.6 liter Lagonda I6 engine that delivers an output power of 125 bhp. It reaches the speed of 60 mph in 11.2 seconds and the top speed is about 116.4 mph. The price of the car in those days was £1914.

The car consists of a spare wheel and luggage space at the back of the front seats which makes a way to the inside of the car. A total of 411 DB2 have been manufactured in between the years 1950-1953.

Aston Martin DB4

The Aston Martin DB4 is a sports car manufactured by the Aston Martin Lagonda Limited in between the years 1958-1963.

The DB4 is the Predecessor of DB Mark lll. The DB4 has been designed by Tadek Marek, a Polish-English automobile engineer and the light weight body has been designed by Carrozzeria Touring.

The DB4 consists of a 3.7 L Tadek Marek I6 engine with dual SU carburetor. The capacity of the engine is about 3670 cc and it delivers an output power of 240 hp. The disc brakes are servo assisted and it measures 11.5 inches.

In the year 1962 the convertible has been introduced where 74 convertibles have been manufactured. The DB4 reaches the speed of 60 mph in 9.3 seconds and the top speed is about 139.3 mph and the cost of the car is about £3967.

Versions:

DB4 GT
The DB4 GT was launched in the year 1959; it is a high performance and light weight car. The DB4 GT consisted of aluminum skin for less weight and enclosed headlights. The DB4 GT consists of a 3.7 L I6 with a capacity of 3670 cc and 3.8 L I6 engine with a capacity of 3750 cc. The engine consists of three dual choke Weber carburetors. The engine delivers an output power of 302 hp and it reaches the speed of 60 mph in 6.1 seconds and the top speed is 153 mph.

Vantage
The Vantage version was launched in the year 1961. It is a high performance car that contains three SU carburetors and delivers an output power of 266 hp. A total of 32 convertibles and 136 saloons have been manufactured in the Vantage version. This car can also be seen in the movie “Goldfinger”.

Vantage GT
The Vantage GT is a high performance car and featured a power engine and a total of 14 units have been manufactured.

Aston Martin DB6

The Aston Martin DB6 is a sports car manufactured by the Aston Martin Lagonda Limited in between the years 1965-1970.

The DB6 is the predecessor of DB5 which consisted of a modified aerodynamics compared to the DB5. In the beginning, Aston Martin rejected to build the DB6, but later Aston Martin focused on development of cars which led to the production of DB6. The testing of the DB6 began in the year 1965 on the DB5 chassis. Finally in the 1965 Motor Show, the DB6 was displayed for the first time.

The changes in the DB6 compared to the DB5 are extra space for rear passengers, chrome wire wheels, air conditioning, power steering, ZF five speed manual and three speed automatic gearbox, roofline, windscreen and 7.7 kg heavier than DB5. Also the shooting brakes were introduced later.

The DB6 consists of a 3995 cc L Tadek Marek I6 engine with triple SU carburetors that delivers an output power of 282 bhp at 5500 rpm and 325 bhp in the Vantage engine which was available optionally.

Aston Martin DB5

The Aston Martin DB5 was manufactured by the Aston Martin Lagonda between the years 1947-1972.

The DB5 is the predecessor of DB4 and it is popularly known as the “James Bond Car” as it featured in the James Bond films “Thunderball”, “Goldfinger”, “Tomorrow Never Dies”, “Golden Eye” and “Casino Royale”.

The DB5 Vantage is high performance car that consists of three Weber carburetors and it delivers an output power of 314 bhp. A total of 65 units have been manufactured in this version.

The DB5 convertible was manufactured in between the years 1963-1965. A total of 123 DB5 units have been manufactured where 19 units were left hand drive.

Aston Martin DB9

The Aston Martin DB9 was launched in the year 2004 and it marked the new generation in Aston Martin for the future cars.

The DB9 was first displayed in the Frankfurt Motor Show in the year 2004. The body structure was made of aluminum and it was also the world’s technically advanced sports car. The internal and external features in the sports car can also be seen in the luxury cars.

Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster

The Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster is a high performance sports car made of fine quality materials first launched at the 2006 Los Angeles Auto Show.

Aston Martin V8

The Aston Martin DB8 was manufactured by the Aston Martin Lagonda in between the years 1969-1989.

The DB8 is a two door saloon and the predecessor of Aston Martin DBS. It consists of 5.3 L V8 engine with a five speed manual transmission.

DBS V8
The DBS V8 was launched in the year 1972 and its production continued up to the year 1972. The body represents the traditional Aston Martin style and it features four headlights, air conditioner, large tyres, wire wheels, ventilated disc brakes and squared grills.

The DBS V8 consists of a 5.3 L V8 engine with a capacity of 5340 cc that delivers an output power of 315 hp. It reaches the speed of 60 mph in 5.9 seconds and the top speed is about 160 mph.

The V8 version was launched in the year 1972 when the DBS V6 was dropped.

Series 2
The V8 was later known as Series 2. A total of 288 cars have been manufactured in between 1972 and 1973. The major differences are mesh grille and dual quartz headlights.

Series 3
The Series 3 was launched in the year 1973 and its production continued up to 1978 where 967 units have been manufactured. The Series 3 consists of a 5.7 L engine with five speed manual and automatic transmission. The engine delivers an output power of 310 hp and it reaches the speed of 60 mph in 6.1 seconds.

Series 4
